South Seas Mermaid –  ©Mirabilia Designs.  Worked over 2 on 28 count Evenweave that I hand dyed.  Started 1/3/12, competed 1/15/12.  See it develop from start to finish on the South Seas Mermaid Project page.

  

Giraffe Mother and Baby – ©Amanda Butler, published in Cross Stitch Gold #58.  Stitched on 18 count Light Oatmeal aida.  Started 2/5/11, completed 1/2/12.

  

Water Dragon, designed and ©Joan Elliott.  Worked over 2 on 32 count Caribbean linen from Crossed Wing Collection.  Started 7/21/11, completed 12/6/11

 

Christmas Angels – 2 of 4, designed and ©Joan Elliott.  Worked over 2 on 32 count Opalescent Lugana.  For the one on the right, I modified the mauves in her dress to reds.  Started 11/1/11, completed 12/24/11.

 

Lilly Couture Pixie –  ©Nora Corbett.  Worked over 2 on 28 count Evenweave that I dyed in pastel rainbow colors.  I changed the white in the wings to Kreinik 032, just to give them a little more sparkle.  Started 11/6/11, competed 11/16/11.

 

Mystical Mermaid, designed and ©Joan Elliott.  Worked over 2 on 32 count linen in Deep Sea colorway from Crossed Wing Collection.  Instead of framing the finished work, I mounted it on an acid-free sticky mounting board.  I then cut a piece of 1/4″ foamboard to be about 3 inches larger on each side, and covered that with a coordinating fabric.  I attached the mounted piece to the foamboard, then added cording and beads for embellishment.  And yes, there are actually ‘bubbles’ on the fabric.  Started 8/17/11, completed 9/21/11.  See it develop from start to finish on the Mystical Mermaid Project page.

  

Mermaids of the Deep Blue –  ©Mirabilia Designs.  Worked over 2 on 32 count Lugana in the Neptune colorway from Polstitches.  I overdyed the fabric with a pale blue.  The mermaid colors are converted from greens to wines and purples.  The purple mermaid has hair converted to a lighter shade of brown, and green fins converted to more turquoise shades.  Started 7/19/11, competed 8/2/11.  See it develop from start to finish on the Mermaids of the Deep Blue Project page.

Summer Fairy, designed and ©Joan Elliott.  Worked over 2 on 32 count Lugana in the Heavens Above colorway from Polstitches.  Started 6/21/11, completed 7/6/11. See it develop from start to finish on the Summer Fairy Project page.

Winter Fairy, designed and ©Joan Elliott.  Worked over 2 on 32 count Jobelan in the Summer Sky colorway from Wichelt.  I overdyed the fabric with some swirls of purple.  As you can see from the second picture (of the back), my stitching gets progressively neater towards the bottom as I incorporated new techniques I had learned.  Started 12/21/10, completed 2/5/11. Dragon of Hope and Dragon of Compassion designed and ©JL Aikman-Smith, distributed by Dragon Dreams.  Worked on 32 count linen that I hand-dyed in green/brown/peach.  Started 5/29/11, completed 6/1/11.

Mythical Dragon designed and ©Merri Roderick, distributed by Dimensions.  Worked on 16 count white Aida.  Started around September 2006, got tucked away for 4 years as an unfinished piece.  Finished 12/20/10.  See it develop from its resurrection in late 2010 to its completion on the Mythical Dragon Project page.

Not sure of the pattern name or designer for this, if anyone else does please let me know and I will update to add.  This was completed as a gift for my mother back in 1994, and I recently got it re-framed and presented it to her again in 2011 for her birthday.  Stitched on 16 count white Aida.

Inspirations, designed and ©Joan Elliott and published in Bewitching Cross Stitch.  Worked over 2 on 28 count Crystal Jazz Lugana from Picture This Plus.  I did lighten the colorway a bit as I thought the original color was a bit too bold for this series.  Dream: 1/16/11 – 1/19/11; Imagine: 5/22/11 – 5/24/11; Hope: 5/25/11 – 5/26/11; Believe: 5/27/11 – 5/29/11.

 

 

Again, one whose name and designer I cannot recall.  Any info on that would be appreciated.  Another ‘oldie’, this was completed in 1995 as another gift for my mother.  I do need to clean and re-frame this one as well.  Stitched on 16 count white Aida.

Ankh of Life designed and ©Anne Marie Gordon and distributed by Witches Stitches (no longer in business).  Stitched on 16 count black Aida.  Completed in 2005.

Dreamy Butterfly and Dragonfly Dreams designed and ©Debbie Mumm and distributed by Dimensions.  Completed in 2008.

Once again, a set of coasters by an unknown designer.  These were stitched on 18 count ivory aida circa 1996.

This is by no means all of them, but a lot of my older pieces were made as gifts, and I have no pictures of them.  I’ve only recently started making ones for myself, so my own collection is slowly growing.
